Hello there,

Does anyone know if there is a Galil PostProcessor for LazyCam?

Thanks.

Hi, Aldemar

Not sure what your looking for, Lcam's post will work with Mach3 software with a Galil card's 3 axis, Is it your looking for 4th/5th... axis support, Any movement like that would require editing G code or a Cam package supporting additional axises.

Hello Chip,

Thank for your reply.

I read that Mach3 works with Galil Controllers. If I have a dxf/dwg file (with some arcs and lines), Is Lazycam able to generate Galil native languaje?

I am not sure if it is possible to execute a GCode File using Mach3 software and a Galil Controller or if it is neccesary to use the Galil languaje (those commands begin with two letters) ...

This is my concern...

Best regards,

Aldemar Martin B.

Please look at the Galil plugin on the Mach web site under downloads -> plugins. There is the latest Galil plugin along with a manual available for free.

Mach is the Motion interpetor .    The gcode tells MACH what to do, then mach interputes that into galil and sends it to the galil for motion processing.

So all you need is the Mach3 post to generate correct Gcode.

Hope that helps, (;-0 TP
