Just checked and there is no pulse engine, I dont  think its needed with g100.
I installed it anyway to see if it did anything but the memory leak is still the same.

Ah ok, sorry forgot the G100 was being used, think I remember you tried earlier with re-setting device and using it as the parallel port and you still had problems.
Dont know what else to suggest.

I have lodged a Bug Report  #0018, hopefully they will try and investigate further or offer a clue as to what is going on here.

I know, I responded to it ;)
Have had a few others test and no one else has the problem so far :(
Have also had the laptop running away since Saturday and it has been steady at 178K

do you think its worth uninstalling mach3 and reinstalling? I dont really want to do anything major with windows as the pc is far from network.

Everything is worth a try, what I would do is rename the Mach3 directory then install Mach, that way all your previous setup will still be there just not getting used.

Did another install of mach3, still the same,
Hood, do you think if I format the hard drive and reinstall win2000 the problem will be cured.

Formatting the drive may help, I think however I would try disabling the services one at a time to see if you can find the problem. Also try the optimisation steps detailed on the downloads page.

Just finished formatting  and all is good, no more memory leaks and its going like a rocket, I'm leaving win2000 with no updates to see what happens.
Thanks for your time Hood.
