Memory leak win2000 mach3 v3.041
« on: July 01, 2009, 05:22:35 AM »
Anyone running win2000 with mach3 and g100 have any memory leak problems?,
it eats it up until I minimise the mach screen and then it lets it all go then the eating starts again.

Open another profile without the G100 plugin and see if you still get the memory leak. If you do then what CPU and memory does your computer have?

There was an early problem With W2k and mem leaks but that was a W2k problem not mach. I have ran W2k for many years now and never saw the problem. I run SP4 so it was probably not a problem by then.

Hi Hood
Just ran another profile of mach3 mill  with no g100 and its the same memory loss, at first startup its using 51,000k then after 25 min. its up to 200,000k,
when I minimise the screen it drops to 6500k and starts climbing again even if I dont maximise the screen.
The cpu is celeron 735mhz  pentium3  526mb ram.

I have a laptop at the workshop with W2K on it, will install Mach and see if I get similar problems.

I think YOUR extra processes are your MEM problem. I have been running W2kpro & SP4  & MACH for almost 3 years without any problems in the WINDWS or MEM dept. Even running in dual cpu mode.

Just a thought, (;-) TP

There is no memory leak once mach is shut down.
