Phil,
Hope you enjoy the two MPG's as i have just finished mine. They are wired to PP so the info on using the  SS was informative. And about using them to do actual machining, well sometimes i just watch the metal being remove under the microscope and tweak as necessary. Mostly used here for fine positioning of the tool to the stock.

BTW Hood, glad you have been there and done that as you save a lot of folks a lot of time.
This may be the only complement you get today, so cherish it!  ;D

Hi Rich,

I am just playing with all the bits and pieces at the moment in the house where its comfy.

I am/was using a shuttle pro on my mill

Single MPG for that soon

But the MPG route is the way to go. Just spin the dial and the axis moves that amount Fantastic. :) :) :)

I just bought a new MPG which is plugged into my computer. everything works except the axis motions, there are 3 settings on the built-in MPG you have con. step and MPG, how do I activate the MPG? I thought I could plug it to my control box for my CNC but both have female plugs. Can I use a gender-bender adapter or would it be a mistake?
