mpg on ss's lpt2

I can't get mach3 (latest version) to see an mpg

on ss's LPT2 port. I don't see ss's LPT2 port listed in my device manager. Is this the problem? I've used the given xml for using this mpg on the lpt2 port but I think going from ss is a problem. SS's LPT2 port is powered by SS's power, right?

By the way, everything works fine, jogging, encoder, speed, etc. without the mpg.

Is the MPG set up in Ports and Pins , Encoder/MPGs page?

Yes, I used the template xml from the mpg manufacturer. I asked them if these are the settings to use with SS and they guessed it was right.

They should be the same for either parallel port or SmoothStepper, one thing you may want to check is that in the SmoothStepper config you have pins 2-9 as Inputs checked for Port2
