i am working on a guys taig mill &it will not run. i think i found out why. the reset button is blinking, but none of the lights are on. it says the e stop is active. it uses a mechanical e stop. in ports & pins e stop is enabled. when i click on it it changes to red, i hit apply. when i try the reset again &try samething. go back into ports & pins & it is turned on again. tow do i turn e stop off? thanks greg

Do you have limit switches wired? If so then disable them and see if that stops the problem, if it does then you have noise getting in through the limit switches causing Mach to e-stop.

what do you do if you can not turn it off. it has an e stop that is a switch. the reset switch says e stop is active. in ports & pins it is enabled but does not have a pin assigned. thanks greg

Ok so does the E-Stop switch go to Mach? If not then just change the active state in Mach for the E-Stop.

Hood, if there are no  phisical connections to the estop, toggling active hi/ low doesnt seem to matter.....mine will Reset either way.
Must be a limit or other input ...or noise somewhere.
Maybe debounce it a bit.

Ah ok missed the no pin asigned. I thought it was probably noise at the beginning but he says limits are disabled and it still does it so cant be that.
What I would do is set it to Port 1 Pin* (where * is just a pin thats not used) and then change the active state to keep it off.

You could dissable everything and see if it resets.
Could be in the external wiring/switches.....if there are any.
