General Mach Discussion / G95 Lathe problem
« on: January 12, 2010, 07:21:20 AM »
OK this has been happening for the last three releases i am using Ver 3.042.035

This is with a smooth stepper

When i program my feed rates with G95 at first it does not conform to the speed selected there is some sort of buffer that after a few moves this buffer will empty then  the fed will suddenly start feeding at the correct rate.

Anyone have similar problems and got a fix ?

So I take it from your reply you like the way the standard turn screen is set up or is yours vastly different?

Hood

Mine is similar in that it uses large buttons for some functions it has a much more friendly layout. Heck why don't you have a look its in the screens in progress section.

There should be some screen shots there.

Maybe we could have a poll

You can lead a  horse to water but you cannot make it drink. ;D

Seriously anyone could use MachScreen but if you are happy with screen4 then yeah stay with it

Well i like mine a lot. ;D

Seriously i do not like them to be too flashy.

I am probably wasting my time in redoing the mill to be like my lathe screen. :'(

There are many wasted items on the standard mill screen as it also doubles as router and plasma with all those unwanted functions.

Will the Rev4 screens be customisable ?

Now we are all waiting for the Rev4, but there are updates bug fixes being applied to Ver3

So i have read that the Rev4 will be module based, so as the bugs are being found in Ver3 and corrected is that code being then turned into a module ready for Rev4 ?

Or put another way are they now being worked on simultaneously. ?

And is it getting closer to being released.  ;D

Norm,

As you rightly say Mach does what the code says, so you should ask on the Vectric forum as i am sure you will get a quicker answer there
