Mach3 Rev4

Now we are all waiting for the Rev4, but there are updates bug fixes being applied to Ver3

So i have read that the Rev4 will be module based, so as the bugs are being found in Ver3 and corrected is that code being then turned into a module ready for Rev4 ?

Or put another way are they now being worked on simultaneously. ?

And is it getting closer to being released.  ;D

Will Rev4 be released with some of lathe changes requested?
Is anyone in the background modifying the current lathe screens or is the intent to have a completely new lathe screen for Rev 4?

Hello guys,
We are working on finishing up mill in legacy mode now and as soon as that is finished I was going to get Turn up and working in Legacy mode.  When all that is done we will be able to make and use a new Lathe screen using the new VB and system vars.

The code for Rev 3 and rev 4 are not the same at all so it is like I am working on two diffrent programs :( . So doing bug fixes and working on rev 4 has been very taxing on me but I feel it is going to be well worth it when it is done!

Thanks
Brian

Brian

Thanks for the update.

I take it you've seen how long the lathe wish list is. ;D

Hopefully Rev4 has at least 5 axis UI as the default mill UI?

We are going to have 5 axis soon and a tangent follower later to be used on occasion. Being fairly new to Mach I've been wondering if it's worth while to start to learn to program the Rev3 UI for the additional axis or should I just wait for Rev4.

The screen will be a 4 axis screen.. but you will be able to change it into a 5 axis screen if you like :)
