To keep noise from the VFD causing problems, never run the line and load next to each other or in the same conduit.  Use either shielded cable or a metal conduit/raceway for the load from inverter to motor.

HEHE....great photochop, Tweakie.
Give us more details on your rocket, Vince.

It's made for carrying a hang glider.  The nose cone is off a Cessna 177RG, the body is 14" spiral HVAC duct, and the engine nozzles are paper cups painted black on the outside and red on the inside.  I have more people than I can count on both hands ask me where I launch my rocket.

PoKeys / Re: New beta plugin
« on: April 12, 2010, 10:48:32 PM »
I don't know what I did, but when I loaded the new plug in, my computer would crash every time I moved my mouse.  It got so messed up I had to do a complete re-install of mach and my xml file.

Tangent Corner / Re: Holding down thin workpieces

You can use jewelers wax to glue it to another piece of thicker metal.  It melts at 150 degrees F.  A very thin layer holds well.

General Mach Discussion / Re: G00 problem
« on: April 10, 2010, 06:56:19 PM »
I think I fixed it.  My old xml file had pins 13 and 15 as the MPG.  My current set up has the MPG on the Pokeys and my index pulse on pin 13.  When I disabled the MPG all seems to be working now.  I will post if this does not solve the problem.

General Mach Discussion / G00 problem
« on: April 10, 2010, 06:43:08 PM »
I am having a serious problem. I have to get some parts out this weekend. I
installed a Pokeys card. When I installed the beta plug in, then started
mach,it would lock up the computer when I moved my mouse requiring a power off
and restart. I removed all the pokeys programs and still had the same problem.
I then reinstalled version .038 and when I copied my XML into the directory I
got the same problem. I then copied a two year old XML file into the directory
and now it works, but with a very strange problem. No matter how I have my
motors tuned for max speed and acceleration, when I enter an G00 command, the
machine takes off at maximum speed and acceleration, which causes a motor fault
because of lost steps.

I am desperate for suggestion as I have to get these parts done this weekend.

Thanks in advanced

Feature Requests / Re: Warning if in Demo mode

I agree.  I have done the same thing, change some stuff on my computer and forget to move the license, run a part and have it stop at line 501.

FAQs / Re: Machine disoriented after line 9000
« on: April 03, 2010, 12:23:24 AM »
Is it the 9000th line or line number 9000?  An unlicensed version of Mach is only good for 500 lines.  If your program is numbered every 20, i.e 20, 40 60 80 etc, then an unlicensed version of Mach would stop around line 9000.
