Share Your GCode / Rose type index

The G-code is for a Rose type index made from a 2.5" square by 1.125" thick block of aluminum.  The code will leave 4 pillars on the corners what will need to be removed.  There is a video for it here: https://youtu.be/0nXZ0EuFDRk

General Mach Discussion / Rapids no longer working
« on: July 12, 2020, 01:04:20 PM »
I am running Mach 3.  I don't know what I did but my mill will no longer rapid when I press SHIFT + >.  It will advance one increment at a time when I press CNTRL + >.  When I press just >, it will move at 41 IPM, no matter what rate I have it set in the jog screen.  If I run a gcode with a G00 instruction, it rapids at the full 100 IPM.  Any idea what I screwed up?  It used to work properly.

Thanks,
Vince

General Mach Discussion / Tool table T word
« on: February 17, 2020, 05:09:02 PM »
I have a Hardinge CHNC which has an 8 station tool turret.  I have mach3 set up so when I enter M6 TXXYY it will rotate the turret to tool TXX and use the offsets for tool TXX.  In the manual for Mach turn, it says "For example T0101, selects tool 1 with offests in table entry 1 (conventionally 0.0 for the master tool) and T0127 selects tool 1 but with the offset in table entry 27."  The tool table as I read it is listed in order of the tool, number 1 through 256.  I don't know where tool 1 entry 27 would be.  If someone could help me understand this I would be appreciative.

The reason for my asking is one of the tools in my turret is a drill chuck.  I might be doing a job that requires 3 or more drills.  I would like to be able to call up M6 T0601 for my center drill, M6 T0609 for a /4" and maybe M6 T0610 for a 1/2 inch drill.  Each different drill would have a different offset (length) in the tool table.  I could put a drill stop in each drill so they would always go in the chuck to the same length.

Thank, Vince

*****VIDEOS***** / Cheap parts washer

I use some Hangsterfer's hard cut cutting oil in my mill and lathe. I have a heck of a time getting the cutting oil off. I came up with a simple 5 gallon bucket parts washer that seems to do the job.

General Mach Discussion / Lathe tool table
« on: January 23, 2019, 10:04:14 AM »
I have set up my lathe tool table using tool 1 as reference.  How can I make an adjustment to tool 1 without having to reset all the other tools?

After more than a year of trying to learn Fusion 360, I finally got serious and decided now or never.  Someone in our bee club lost a part for one of our honey extractors.  Without the part I had to figure out it's dimensions from the coupling.  Drawing the part was easy, it's figuring out how to do the cam part that was hard.  Anyway, I was successful as you can see in this video.
