G00 problem
« on: April 10, 2010, 06:43:08 PM »
I am having a serious problem. I have to get some parts out this weekend. I
installed a Pokeys card. When I installed the beta plug in, then started
mach,it would lock up the computer when I moved my mouse requiring a power off
and restart. I removed all the pokeys programs and still had the same problem.
I then reinstalled version .038 and when I copied my XML into the directory I
got the same problem. I then copied a two year old XML file into the directory
and now it works, but with a very strange problem. No matter how I have my
motors tuned for max speed and acceleration, when I enter an G00 command, the
machine takes off at maximum speed and acceleration, which causes a motor fault
because of lost steps.

I am desperate for suggestion as I have to get these parts done this weekend.

Thanks in advanced

Vince

I think I fixed it.  My old xml file had pins 13 and 15 as the MPG.  My current set up has the MPG on the Pokeys and my index pulse on pin 13.  When I disabled the MPG all seems to be working now.  I will post if this does not solve the problem.
