cncman,
Windows CE is a distinctly different operating system and kernel, rather than a trimmed-down version of desktop Windows. It is not to be confused with Windows XP , so I would say don't bother. I would stick to win 2000 , or XP.

you can pickup used towers with xp pretty cheap now, and with a 1g processor and 512mb ram is all you need.

Brain says you can run CE, IF you are running an external Motion board, and have the ".net" stuff installed.

Funny, I just looked through the board over there and it was actually used as a wireless controller/pendant.
The software was not running Mach 2 itself.
