Please check to see that you are not in an Estop sate (check to see that the LED by the Reset button is not flashing).  And you should be able to move the machine if the LED's by the Axis Dro's are not green. The LED's are telling you if the axis has been homed or not.

Thanks Brian.

I am still working "on the bench".  X axis setup only.  Nothing connected to a machine.

The Estop (pin 10) has been toggled to work from the gui (0-1).

There are no limit switches or home switches active. I was thinking that all shoud be green. The motor is stiff with power on but no movement/rotation, i can see the dro step when i jog but nothing at the motor.

If the DRO's are changing there are steps coming out the printer port... The only way it would not put steps out the printer port is if you unchecked the "install Driver" at install. Look on the Diagnostics page and tell me what you see in the "Time in Int." DRO

Thank you
Brian

Hi again Brian,

A: 4.9 ish to 6.2 ish.  most of the time in the mid 5's.

I reserved the X home and "zeded the x", ref all home and bingo  green for the first time.  woohoo.

Can I check pin 2 (step)  to see if i am getting a Ve drop/gain??

Sorry to be a pain but i need to check all of it now i have a green.  Is this the correct thread to ask for help?

Regards

Paul

Brian,

I have just won the "DH" of the year award.  My problem was that I had wired the drivers using the db25 female pinout instead of the male.

I now have movement and on to the next step, mounting the motors an limit switches.

'Til next time, and thanx
