Gecko G320 wiring question
« on: October 24, 2008, 12:40:18 PM »
Hi all,
I am in the process of wiring a new controller for my mill using Gecko G320 servo controllers.  A question I have is wiring the "Optional External Fault LED Circuit" from page 5 of the Gecko G320 Installation Notes (dated April 3, 2008).  This circuit allows you to reset the servo controller externally, plus it gives you an LED indication whenever there is a fault.  What has me confused is the way to wire it.  There is a arrow pointing "To Computer", but I do not know how I will wire that to my BOB (CNC4PC C11G) since it is only one wire (I am used to two wires to create a circuit).  Has anyone wired this circuit, and if so, can you give me some pointers?
Thank you and God Bless,
Steve

Hi, you can connect the wire "to computer" to your one of your bob inputs. the wires that say 5v to your bob +5v power supply and 0v ground wires (the up-side down triangle with striped bars) to the bobs supply 0v.

John,
Thank you so much.  I have been scratching my head about this connection.  Much appreciated.
