Hi, would like to the pokeys for feed rate but don't know where to begin.

Could someone point me in the right direction to make some test.

I'm not an expert with mach3 and the use of the pokeys device.

So after hooking up the potentiometer to the Pokeys board, what should I do inside Mach3.

Do I use some OemTrigger, re-program some buttons. Just need some help . Thanks

   The analogue, when used with a brain is a matter of scaling the input to a number from 1-100 for example, then sending it to a DRO number that reflects the function. ( like the FRO DRO ).

 There appears to be a slowness in the way Im using it.. Ill discuss it with Boris..

I just hooked up the potentiometer to the Pokeys board at 3.3 volts as per the manual.

On the tool option in the Pokeys menu, I can see the analog diagram working.

I try to program some brains functions but don't know which ones to use.

I can program some buttons and outputs but for readind analog, I'm lost

did you ever manage to ge it working, I dont have a clue either and would like to do a bit of testing. Like you I have the pot working fine in the PoKeys software but dont know how to get it into Mach.

Thanks gifre, I had a brain very similar to that but how do you get the pokeys connected to Mach for the Brain to see. In the Pokeys manual for Mach it says  it is in the same spot as the G100 IO, thats what is getting me as I dont know where that is or how to enter it.

Hi Guys:

  The G100IO and the Pokeys puts their analogeu signal in the SerialModBus IO block #124,125,126 and 127.

When your using a brain, you woudl use the SerialModBus input block address #124,125,126 and 127 to get the value of the anologue input.

Ok thanks Art, typical thick bas%&*d here, had the analogue input on pin 47 of the Pokeys but obviously its pins 43 to 46 only, 43 being address 124, 44 being 125, 45 being 126 ,  46 being 127 and finally Pin 47 being IDIOT!!!
 I now have it on pin 45 and its working fine exceping the slight delay and also depending on the speed I turn the pot determines whether I can get get min FRO or not. Example is if I turn fairly slowly it will go down to 0, if I turn fast it will only go down to 37 or so. If it is turned down and still reading 37 then as I turn it up it will start to lower at first then increase again.
