trouble posting code
« on: October 15, 2008, 11:56:51 AM »
I am having trouble posting code via lazy cam.  When I use the "post code" the program says that "posting file complete", but there is no existence of a posted code.  On another file that I have posted the code, Lazy cam says where the file has been posted.  Anyone have an answer for this.  How about a suggestion.

Hi there-

In the top menu, click, "setup", then "posting options". That is where LazyCam will store the GCode that you have posted. Are you saying it's not in that folder when you generate the GCode from LazyCam?

Dave,

That is exactly what I am saying.  I hear ya and I have tried changing it to see if it is a conflict with the folder name in which it is to post the code.  It still didn't show up.

Wow, then you totally have me as to why that is and where it would be going. I have no idea why that is. Possibly someone else may have an idea but I personally would just reinstall the program.

There was a time that I had an issue with LazyCam not "saving" my files correctly and when I'd go back to change a number or cut depth on a particular part, all the settings and numbers would be back to zero. Pissed me off...lol! So I reinstalled and all was well again.

KAWI400,
I find that once in a while ie; it dosen't appear to be in the directory where i wanted it posted. Just minimize the
the drive letter and reopen the directory, sure enough it's there. Don't know why, think PC memory related.

Rich and whoever else wants to reply,

I have tried to reinstall lazycam as well as checked the location after closing the location and reopening all to no avail.  Anymore suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Bear with me,
Confirm that when you clilck the Post Code button that you get the attached screen, and additionaly click Browse and select the directory,
ok each screen, and a windows screen should now be left asking you for a file name.

Also have you tried posting code to Mach?

 RICH

PS:Do you have a lazycam license?

Hi All,
What version of mach and lazycam are you guys using?
It will not post code in lathe if you don't have a license. Do have a license?
You also need to create cut profiles or no code will be created.
What happens when you try to save the file as an .LCAM?
