The Motion Group sells a CNC kit for the Grizzly G9729 "3 in 1" Mill/lathe.  I've seen it and it works well, but it runs a proprietary software in DOS. 

Has anyone used Mach instead?  I emailed tech support and they said they though that some of their customers were using it, and would check into it.

Inside their control box they are using MYCOM SD230 stepper drivers.  The system connects through the parallel port.
