need help mach turn

first time in mach turn. do i use the lazy cam to bring in the part to mach? i have tryed to bring in a dxf file out of autocad to lazy cam ,and the auto screen of mach, no success of bringing the part visible to either screen as well as g code. i watched the video on turn but still haveing issuses understanding. any help would be great!

Hi Alex,

Lazycam has a limited amount of lathe tools, Lazyturn will be much better.

There are some rules to follow when importing profiles for turn in Lazycam, the profile has to be open and a single continuous line, it can not be a spline!

Make sure you output lines and arcs.  The picture is an example of a typical shape that will work fine.

i put in the folder rebooted rhe mach and lazy cam program opened mach and lazy cam up and tryed to open a dxf file and it said in the project window no project loaded.i am getting a little frustrated. thank you for your help. i learned how to use th new lazycam program for milling on this forum, it is a great place for help.
