Adding a wave file
« on: June 05, 2006, 03:45:41 AM »
Was wondering if any one has added there own sounds to Mach 3 and how it can be done.

I'd like to add a sound for the:
Emergency active,
Jog mode on/off,
X,Y,Z zeroing and moving sound indicator
Limit switch active

Looked in a few place for information, but couldn't find any :'(.

I can think of one way.
Use the shell command in VB to open a previously saved flash.exe that has a mp3 embedded in it.

If you cant work out how to do this let me know and I will set up a demo for you.

Its a good idea the alert thingy. We must make this work.

I know this is probably a really dumb way of doing it but here is an exe to get the shell command to open.
