I_picked_up_a_few_servo_motors_on_ebay_last_week_and_need_an_encoder_it_had_a_tach_not_an_encoder_
and_the_other_one_is_a_Hirata_servo_with_a_DAITO_encoder_but_the_outputs_are_A-Signal_B-Signal-and_a_Z-signal_
Will_this_encoder_work_if_so_what_configuration_wouldI_use?
--I_am_running_gecko_320s_but_cant_get_this_encoder_to_work_
The_motor_starts_running_as_soon_as_I_engage_the_drivers_
The_motor_does_change_directions_and_slows_down_when_I_jog_but_seems_like_I_cant_get_the_encoder_to_work>
Also_where_can_I_get_a_few_regular_TTL_encoders>
I_have_not_seen_that_many_on_ebay_with_the_right_shaft_size_or_configuration?
Thanks_and_sorry_for_the_underlines_bad-keyboard_in_garage

US Digital do reasonably priced encoders or look on eBay.
Your Daito encoder sounds like it should work but possibly the A and B are not TTL, maybe sine wave? What is the code number on the encoder?

I_dont_think_it_is_TTL,Have_found_a_few_on_cheap_motors_on_ebay_today_they_are_on_the_way_but_the_model_of_the_encoder_is_DTRE-PWZK.
I_do_think_it_is_not_going_to_work_have-tried_all_combinations_and_nothing_..
Thanks

I looked earlier on Google for your encoders and came up a blank, obviously never had the code but still I couldnt find any info on any Daito encoders, so knowing the code probably wont change that.
Do you have a scope? If you do then you could easily find out what the outputs of the encoder are.
