Version 2.63 vs: 3.00 vs:3.037
« on: February 27, 2008, 10:40:20 PM »
??? Has version 2.63 become the defacto "final version," of Mach3?  In the past I have stayed on top of developments and upgraded regularly in order to have the lastest and greatest - and have a version that corrected previous "bugs."  Now, I note that the 2.63 is the "Release Lockdown," version.  I have been using 3.00 without any problems (yet!) and am reluctant to regress to 2.63.  At the same time, I have not upgraded to the latest development version until it becomes a final release version.

Just curious.

There were problems with Ver 3 for some and so Brian went back down to 2.63 for the lockdown. I am using the latest Dev versions and there are big improvments with lots of things, especially the FRO, however it is a Dev version so if you use it you may find problems, although  I have none.

Ahh is that what happened. I had wondered why it swiched back to an earlier version.
I'll be waiting for the lockdown version myself as my system seams to work ok so I don't want to mess with it.

Upgraded from Mach2 to Mach3 with license but Mach3 still reads only 500 lines. How can I unlock the new version? Thanks

Make sure the licence is in the folder you installed Mach3 to, if its not find it in your Mach2 folder and copy it then paste. To check its been seen ok open Mach and go to the Help tab and the About Mach...... you should then see your registered name.
