How to make to see my spindle speed on Mach? What type of pulse do I have to connect on LPT input pin? Any schematic available?

I have seen a prox used to do this in the past... It seemed to me to be the best way because it can be covered in oil and still work great

Ups....what is a "prox"? English is not my first language (Serbian is!) and I don't know what the "prox" is mean?
Do you mean Proxxon spindle?

Ok, tnx, now it's clear to me! We call it here : inductive sender/pickup/transducer, whatever. I guess...
