Something is Crazy
« on: February 07, 2008, 02:52:16 AM »
I was just finished with building my power supply. I'm using gecho and servo's. I was setting up my home switches and everything was working fine. All a sudden the thing started jerking around. I have tried to set the servo adjustments and the motor tuning in mach3 nothing helps. I found if I turn the computer off or unplug the printer cable it set there just fine. My servo's make the normal singing noise.  Could someone Please Help.
Thanks Ed

Sounds like you may have some application interfering with the pulse engine.
Also go to the Mach3 folder and run the DriverTest and see what the line looks like. If its not very smooth then you could try doing the optimisation steps that are detailed on the downloads page.

Found the problem. I had built a power supply for the 5v for breakout board. The regulator was getting hot so I mounted it to the case. It was getting noise back into the circuit.
Thanks
