Hi all,

I'm excited to be joining the Mach 3 world :)

I'm setting up a 4 axis mill and have three controllers.
X,Y are to be run by a Parker 6250 controller running Parker SM servo motors
Z & A are to be run by Parker iBE self-contained servos

I've started with the SDK (which is GREAT!) and have the basics done for the Parker6250 controller (using a serial connection) but I also need to communicate to the serial port of each of the iBE servos.

My question is this: Can I have MULTIPLE plugins active at the same time assigned to different axis?

If not, I'll have to make a 'special case' dll which happens to control both - I'd rather give the dll's back to the community for general use though.

The other alternative if for me to make a MultiplexMovement.dll which then pulls in other plugins to allow the assignment of axis to different controllers.

thanks

Edward.

Hi,

This may be the answer to your question - Check Yahoo message 82997 from Art. There were some other messages there about the serial port.
Hope that helps.
