LazyCam 3.00.2
« on: January 03, 2008, 02:33:13 PM »
Hi, Brian

Happy New Year to All, OK, So I'm a few day's late on this, Hope the transition is going well.

Seeing your doing a little work on LC, Hears a few issues that are still hiding in Offsetting and Pocketing,In, Mill, Plasma, Foam.

I've tried this DXF in many way's/formats, grouped, un-grouped, exploded and saved with different cad program's, TurboCad V 8, BobCad V 22, Rino.....

Over different Ver's of LC it's worked from time to time, Hears the DXF and some screen shot's

Thanks, Chip

Ha hit the wromg button!

CHIP

as good as your drawing is l-cam will have a hard time.attached are two files made from your dxf . i ran them through l-cam 3.00.2 and mach3  3.00.this is how i dit it to trick l-cam.

i imported your dxf into l-cam.
hit the scale  button just to move the origin but not to change the scale.
picked a tool for the layers, and set the tool for the code.
generated g-code and sent it to mach3.
    imported g-code into l-cam from mach3.
then i hit the optomize button.
    saved drawing as l-cam file.

now you can play with it.  another thing i noticed with l-cam is if you box a drawing with a chain it will help when you do things to the drawing ,then delete the box chain.
