So, no one wants to hazzard a guess?
I imagined an Egyptian scribe/prophet with his bronze chisel and wooden hammer cutting these glyphs all day, thinking there must be an easier way and writing :-
" There will come a man who will bring great joy to craftsmen of all nations."
The oval is called a cartouche or nametag (usually with a vertical line at the end) and contains the name of a Pharaoh, in this case Art with the ankh symbol, a talisman representing life, health and happiness.
The drawing was done in DesignCad using TrueType fonts from
www.techm.com and exported as a jpg. In DesignCad it should be possible to convert the glyphs to vector fonts and engrave them, using my little mill, for jewelry.
Art, happy retirement.
