M3Turn Gang tool offset problem
« on: December 20, 2007, 05:52:39 PM »
Hi All,
I have a very similar post in the "Code" forum but thought I'd try it here. Sorry if I am out of bounds.
I have 4 tools on a toolplate and connot give each tool it's own offset and have the program run without stopping at each tool change.
G54-G59 are totally different for Turn. (Manual 7.7.2)
I set it up with the Tool Table and it assumes it is a tool post that that needs the tool changed manually so it stops at every tool change.
Anybody "been there - done that" ?
I'd like for the DRO's to read correctly for each tool if possible.
Thanks
MC & HNY

Look on the General Config page, there are options for the tool change there. As for off set, you might be better putting that into the tooltable, ie choose one tool as your master tool and offset every other from that.

Hello Hood, that's what I am doing. All tools are set-up in the tool table with 1 as master. The problem is that the program will not run through without stopping at each tool # change. I have to hit cycle start every time it stops. "Ignore Tool Change" is checked in config.
Maybe Mach isn't made to work this way, sure wish it would.
Thanks
