Mach-Pro??
« on: January 12, 2026, 08:40:47 AM »
Last month I got an email mentioning the launch of Mach-Pro, with discount pricing for current Mach users. They have a link to a support forum that leads to here? yet no mention of Mach-Pro anywhere to be seen.
Today was supposed to be launch day and still nothing. Starting to look like a scam?
anyone else have any info?

I downloaded the Demo. Its seems to be very much built on Mach4 but a lot has change under the hood. I have thousands of lines of custom Lua running on my Mach4 instance and at first glance maybe 50% of that works so it's definitely a different animal. I have no idea what kind of refactor will be required to get custom modules and plugins working.  At $550 it's priced to get as many of us to move over as possible. I'll buy but I would like to see a change log.

Perhaps when this gets its own forum topic and some folks start to tell us "old" users what's exactly necessary to make the switch, we can start to take this seriously. $550 is a bit much for me if I have to start over with all new hardware and completely learn how to set it up all over again!!! I have just enough unusual stuff, Lua code, etc., to not really want to take the chance.

I was interested too. supposedly there was an email sent out to mach3 and mach4 owners with a discount code, but I never got it (and yes I checked spam folder).
And I've been caught before with the "coming soon" snare. they say ESS support is on the way.
Anyone remember the CNC Brain?? lots of hype but nothing but some unstable versions released then disappeared.

I got the email and there was a 10% discount for Mach3/4 users. With absolutely nothing really confirmed, I won’t be donating $500 to any charities expecting something some day. I guess they missed the 1/12 date for availability. Only thing available is the bill.

The only thing i could say is there are beta plugins for ESS and Pokeys so should be compatable with mach4 hardware, plus others

Unbelievable that the site access is unsecured,  not https.

Hi,

MachPro will be a bit different from what you're used to. Current Mach users can receive a 10% discount on request. Please Email support@machsupport.com or support@mach-labs.com to request a discount.

When it comes to custom programming MachPro is going to be quite a bit different than what you are used to. If you wish to keep your custom programming, you may have to run your old Mach4 screens, though in doing so, you lose out on the customization and features the new screens provide. If you wish to write your own code, we do have a new method of programming for both the GUI and your M-Codes.

Inside of your Profile/%ProfileName%/Macros/Scripts folder you'll have files there called UserGUIModuleDefault and UserMCodeModuleDefault.
If you wish to use them, make a copy and remove the "Default" portion of the file name. This will make Mach view the file as being used. At this moment, I would HIGHLY recommend trying out the default features before writing your own code. If you wish for a feature, please just reach out and make a request as our dev team is working hard to give users what they need.

When it comes to changelogs, we are working to make a built in process to have changelogs available for users. As of right now, we have over 1000 changes from Mach4 to MachPro, one that may affect some very custom machines is we refactored some API's and have compiled Mach for 64bit. Anyone with an SDK will also need a new developer key to write for the new product.

If you wish to demo the product:
https://pkgcdn.machmotion.com:8765/static/Mach_Package_Installer.exe
Documentation:
https://support.machmotion.com/books/shared-content-public-f71/page/machpro-package-installation

In the installer, if you choose DEMO, you will NOT get motion, but you will also not need a license.
Choose Normal if you wish to get motion, just like Mach4, you will have a limit of 500 lines of GCode and 5-10 minutes of runtime. Features like GMS will also be restricted until licensed in this mode.
Thanks,

Paul
