Mach 4 for my mill or router?
« on: November 17, 2025, 05:21:36 PM »
I have a bit of a quandary on my hands.
I lucked into an ESS and PMDX-126, PMDX-107 and four Gecko drives for pennies.
My CNC router is running UCCNC on an AXBB-E controller. I don't like UCCNC at all.
My CNC mill is running Masso and I quite like the functionality.

My plan was to replace the UCCNC/AXBB-E on the router with the ESS/PMDX/Mach 4 setup.
Companies like Onefinity include the Masso with their CNC routers so it makes me wonder if Masso is better suited for my router.

Would my mill be better served with Mach 4?

The ESS or PoKeys57CNC are the way to go if going with Mach4.

UC devices are not a good option for Mach4 as the plugin has not been maintained and kept up to date with the current Mach4 versions.
