Hi,
i'm in progress of switching to Mach4. My lathe and mill only have limit switches. With the system I used before, I was able to use these also for the homeswitch. When I configure these limit switches also as home switch in Mach4, the reference move stops when the first limit switch is reached.
Is there a way to do use the limit switches also for homing?

Further Information:
I'm using a pokey57cnc with a BOB on my stepperdriver. So the output of the BOB is connected to the SUB-D 25 from the pokey.
I deactivated the Limit Switch for testing. So the only input signal mapping is as follow:
Motor 0 Home -> Dedicated limit+ 1
I get the message "Home switch X Home tripped!" when I activate the switch. So I expect that the home is recognized. But when I "reference all Axes" (First is the X-Axis), the X-Axix will not stop when the Home switch is tripped.
Any Ideas, any help?

Homing is taken care of by the motion controller, so this will be motion controller dependent, further more, the ability to use the Limit switches as home switches is motion controller dependent.  I use the HiCON from vital systems for everything and it has the ability to use limit switches as home switches; I have this set up on 1 machine and it works fine. 

I have never used the Pokey57 controller so I don't know if they have this functionality or not.  A quick search on their website showed many features about the board, but nothing about using the limit switches as home switches. 
I know on the Vital System's webpage on the HiCON, it specifically says "Use Limit switches as homing sensors."

Funny things happen. If I use a Hammer in front of the switch (not hitting, just put it in front of the sensor) the process of homing works. It looks like, that the edge of the signal is used for the homing. May be I'm wrong. But that's the explaination I found.
After this result, I tried to home the y-axis first. And the homing of the y-axis works. So I replaced the limit/home switch on the x-axis and it works.
Issue solved.
