I’m trying to get my mill to run with Smoothstepper and mach3 for quite some time now.

Where I struggle is with using and obviously configuring probe wizard. When I start an x y measurement on the lower left corner, the mill moves dead slow until it reaches the start point of x measurement. Then it moves with search speed, probes, then latch speed, probes again. So all fine.
When the mill moves over to the second measuring position of y it’s dead slow again - obviously latch speed. Then it moves with search speed again, probes, then latch speed, probes again. So again all fine.
TS and workpiece height speed are ok.

If I now load gcode to do some work the toolchange is detected correctly and the mill starts to move to the tool change position - guess what - dead slow again.
From now on I can’t get back to the normal jog speed.

What am I doing wrong?

Feed rate was set incorrectly.
