Running Mach 3
Mach3 usb interface board
Huanyang 110V VFD
24v relay

M3 =  Relay clicks, the FWD light turns solid, but spindle does not turn unless I hit the speed arrow, and then the spindle starts.

I wired the VFD according to the diagram on the BuildYourCNC page, but I can't seem to control speed.

Than I got a "pwm bumped to minimum setting" and the relay does not click anymore.

I've been "building" this machine for 7 or 8 years now, on and off. It worked for a while with an Arduino board and a free gcode sender, turning the spindle on manually, but I got the idea to add a 4th axis and it's been a nightmare ever since.
Have you specified a speed with the    S   gcode?

Haven't run code yet, just trying to get the mechanics to work first.
Found my answer in a different forum. thanks
Hey lrgreen, would you mind sharing the answer you found? I’m running into the exact same issue with my setup and would really appreciate any insight you could offer.
