duplicating old parts using Mach3
« on: December 28, 2024, 03:15:28 PM »
Hello,
I am looking for some help duplicating parts for old gas engines. I have a series one Bridgeport, that I run Mach3 on. I restore old gas engine for a hobby.  A lot of  my parts are cast iron with a lot of Porosity in the part.  So welding the part does not work well. I need some expert advice. Should i use Cam, probe or some thing else?  I would like to scan the part and up load it to Mach3.  What i understand is Mach3 is just a program, so you would need another program?  I am not looking for very complicated. Any advice would be appreciated.

Use an old part as a pattern for casting a new part.
