Hello all, been a while since I've been on.
I can't belive I still can't find anything on my lathe problem.  Every time I start a program and then stop it with the stop button I cannot start it again. Jogging works sometimes but start does not and spindle will not start. Reset and disable do nothing. The only way to fix it is to shut down and reload Mach 4.
I'm still using ver 5000 and ess smothstepper. I can't believe no one else has had this problem.
Can someone please help me figure out what is going on?

I do not use Mach for a lathe but i do know this when you use stop in the mill config.
Run will not make it start everything back up.
The code to start everything is not there.
Usually that is at the start of the program.
Instead of Stop have you tried Pause?
With Pause you can use Run to continue.

If you use stop do you have to close mach and restart before you can do anything?

No but you do need to rewind the code to the start or if it is in the Lathe version use the Run From Here

When I use stop almost nothing works. Can rewind code but it will not start. Spindle will not start but sometimes it will jog.

The Lathe might function differently than the Mill.
Hopefully someone that knows Lathe will shed some light on it.
