Mach4 Lathe - Machine coords in Diameter mode

Mach 4 4809 - ESS Plugin 285

I have "upgraded" a lathe from Mach3 to Mach4 and followed the Tool setting guide. But it doesn't seem to work properly.

I think it's because the machine coords is working in Radius mode and the normal setting? is working in diameter mode.

e.g if I install tool 1 (with appropriate M6 T0101), then Ref Home X and Z,  then turn a bar at 30mm. Set tip of tool one to the 30mm bar. Type 30 in the set X text entry box and enter - then click the enter but for the set X box... it says -30mm in the X DRO.

If I Home X so machine coords are 0.000mm and then set the X dro to on tool coords to 0.000m and toggle machine coords, both are Zero - Great!

But then if a move X 50mm whilst in machine coords (so DRO says 50mm) then toggle the Machine coords - the normal coords are 100mm. So like I say - it seems to be a diamter mismatch, this makes tool setting impossible...

Anyone had similar???? Or am I missing something obvious?

thanks

PS I want to work in diameter mode like I did in Mach3. All my programs are made for Diamter mode.

Go to Configure> Control and on the first tab you can change the machine mode to ‘Lathe (Diameter)’

Hi thasnks for the reply. It wasn't that though, I already had it set in Diamater mode.

I found the answer in another location - https://support.machmotion.com/books/cnc-machine-operator-manuals/page/create-lathe-tool-table

The tool tablwe had been created for "not a lathe" even though I setup the program for a lathe. Deleting the tool table file and letting the app recreate it did the trick.

thanks again
