Mach3 shows forth Axis moving without beeing enabled
« on: March 12, 2024, 02:27:14 PM »
Hi everyone!

I recently bought an self designed CNC Mill which used to run with Mach3 (I tested the machine and it looked good).

At my place now I have an issue, that begins to drive me crazy:
Sometimes the "A-Axis" shows movement in the UI. I only have 3 Axis and as far as I can tell, only these three are enabled in configuration. Definitely there is no forth Axis connected.

The Mach3 PC runs Windows 7 (fresh install, just used his settings with my 10y+ old license; kudos that does still work btw.) and the mill is controlled by an USB SmoothStepper hooked up to a "Triple Beast". The control was bought with the mill and I cannot yet see 100% through the wiring...

First thought was that its an UI Problem only, but as soon as the forth axis moves, Mach3 refues to do anything else. Stop and Reset resolves the problem sometimes, but then every now and then I need to restart the PC.

Any Ideas where I can start to look?
