how do i set up a closed loop system in mach3 ?i went to used encoders with my steeper to make sure that i do not loose steps.

You will need one of the Encoder Interface boards that Ron Rogers sells www.rogersmachine.net It will not be true closed loop but Mach will halt if there is an error greater than the following error that you set.
