Auto Tool Zero Setting
« on: March 26, 2023, 05:00:54 PM »
I’m using Mach3 and I have a few items to cut on a 3/4” plywood I have on the top of my cnc. So I use the Mach3 Auto Tool Zero utility which sets the tool tip at 1” above the table. Then I press cycle start and the gantry goes to the start point, the tool decent and does the cut. At the end she goes back to the origins and lowers the tool to zero and stops. Now the tool tip almost touches the top of the plywood.

To do my net cut I have to move the gantry to the next cuts origin but I can’t since the tool is almost touching the table plus I have to re do the Auto Tool Zero process and this becomes a pain when I have to do a lot of cuts.

Is there a better way to do multiple cuts and how?

Thanks
Nicolas
