Weird arcs and circles in my Mach3 toolpaths
« on: October 22, 2022, 12:13:36 AM »
I am trying to generate simple turning toolpaths for Mach3 with Fusion 360... I keep getting stray arcs and circles as in the (hopefully) uploaded example image. I went through this several years ago and someone told me how to fix it and now I forget. I usually just use the turn wizards for most of the hobby stuff I do. PLEASE HELP... I'm loosing it... <It will be a short trip>

Hi,
Mach3 uses natively 'incremental arcs'. Fusion is producing arcs using 'absolute'.

In the Fusion Mach3 post select Incremental Arcs and you'll be fine.

Thank you so much for the reply... I just cannot figure out where I make this change. Do I have to edit the post file itself?

I will upload the choices that Fusion lists and have marked the only thing that seems the make the problem seem to go away, but I and sure I am doing the wrong thing.

I looked at the post file itself and that is way over my head.

Thank you so much in advance for any help of clue you or anyone can offer.

Regards,

Hi,
its called Radius Arcs.

Craig

Thanks Craig, set to radius arcs and still get unexpected results. And I am in the dark about what circular radius is all about. 3 different setting get me 3 different results. I will post some images to help clarify.

It is a number but is it degrees, inches or just an imaginary number. <Grin> :-\
