I found a KBIC schematic on the web and I'm not surprised at what you have found, those terminals will have very limited current supply capacity.  I can't understand why it needs 30mA from the external supply, I designed a circuit which took virtually no current at all.  Hey-ho.

Got the new PSU today and installed but the same problem exist as before. On the PSU DCV=11.9 but on the C11G between GND and +12V I have 0.03VDC. Also between 0-10V and V-IN I have the same 0.03V. So the problem before with the KIBC was not related to KBIC but rather the settings which looks like I miss one or more.

There are many KBIC models, mine is KBLC-240DS (3375E) 115/230VAC, 50/60Hz, Output 0-87 VDC, Rated 6.0ADC.

I follow this document for my setup

Microsoft Word - SpindleControl-C11G+ESS+G0704-KBIC-120-REV5.docx (cnc4pc.com)

I have a jumper to set which is for IEEE 1284 and now it is set to “Not Compatible”. The other setting is “Compatible”

Searching I get nothing to tell me about my settings. Anyone knows if I should change my setting to “Compatible”?

Finally Success….

Up to now I always had the KIBC OFF because I was trying to see why I was getting so low voltage on the C11G, however after supper I said lets try with the KBIC ON to see what I get. Prior to that I played with the pulleys and set both #1 and #4 to 15000 Max and Min to 1, Ratio 1.

Then I turned the KIBC ON and asked for 4K RPM and Mach3 shows just under 4K. Finally I ask for 12K and Mach3 shows just under 12K. So for me I’m done because it works.

Tomorrow I may try 15K and try to measure the voltage out of curiosity

Nicolas.

Right!  Glad it's sorted.
