Huanyang VFD settings?
« on: January 27, 2022, 06:03:41 AM »
Hi All,

does anyone have any experience with Huanyang after sales or could help with setting up a replacement VFD.

So i have just replaced my Huanyang VFD ( HY05D543B ) with a GT-5R5G-4
Both are same 380v 5.5Kw 400hz etc
To be used with a GDK 125-18-24z/5.5 spindle

The HY worked straight out of box without much configuration ( if memory serves me correctly)
The GT after setting ramp times etc does not, the spindle sounded high pitch and got very hot very quickly, so i shut it straight down.

Ive been trying to find a way to contact Huanyang but cannot find anyone who may be able to point me in the right direction of ensuring correct setup,

I would appreciate any help,

Thanks

sorry to say but there no option that any inverter can run without parameter
volt?
amper?
how many poles?
time to acc dccl
then most inverter should make self testing to get the rest of parameter
but just plug & play.... i never heard such miracle

Here my setting compare to your. I'm using pwm, and enable m3 and m4. I example some details hope it help

Huang GT Series setting for 2.2kw for mach4 to control
===============================================================
P0.00 = 0 selected  ;  V/F control (DEFAULT 0)
        1 ;  Sensorless vector control: It is only suitable for motor commissioning cases or the
             cases where needs not high accuracy
        2 ; Sensorless vector control: It is only suitable for motor commissioning cases or the cases where needs not high accuracy

P0.01 = 1 selected ; Terminal for mach4 to control
        0 ; Control by Keypad on VFD (" LOCAL/REMOT) control commands of inverter include: start stop, forward run, reverse run, jog, and fault reset and so on. (default 0)
        1 ; Terminal for mach3/mach4 to control forward run reverse run, forward jog, reverse jog etc. can be
        2 ; Set Run Command Source to Modbus serial port.

P0.02 = 0 selected ; (keypad and terminal)  valid, and the value can be saved when the inverter is powered off. (default was 0=manual)
=================================================================
P0.03 = 400 selected ; Set Maximum Frequency to the maximum frequency you want the VFD to output, in Hz. (default was 50)
P0.04 = 400 selected ; Set Upper Frequence Limit to the maximum frequency you want the VFD to output, in Hz. This should be the same as the value in P0.03. (default was 50)
P0.05 = 0  selected  ; Set Lower Frequency Limit to the minimum frequency you want the VFD to output, in Hz.
P0.06 = 400 selected ; Set at 400hz When Frequency A command source is set to be Keypad, this parameter is the initial
                        value of inverter reference frequency. related to (P0.07)
================================================================
P0.07 = 2 selected ; I wired to VFD Al2 because it input is 0~10V ((this select base on what your BOB/pwm control board analog output 0-10v))
                     and wire Negative 0=to (GND) terminal of your vfd board of analog signal and +10V. GND must be isolated from COM.

      = 0  ; Keypad: Please refer to description of P0.06, Set the frequency by the keypad through modifying P0.06.
      = 1 ; (AI1) Set the frequency through analog input terminals. Al1 is -10V~10V
      = 2 ; (AI2) Set the frequency through analog input terminals. Al2 is 0~10V  (This will related to P0.01=1)
      = 3 ; (HDI) Set The reference frequency is set by high speed pulse input
      = 4 ; (PLC) Simple PLC, Set The inverter will run at simple PLC when selecting this frequency setting method.
      = 5 ; (Multi-stage speed) The inverter will run at multi-stage speed when selecting this frequency setting method.
      = 6 ; (PID control) The running mode is procedure PID control when selecting this parameter
      = 7 ; (Remote Communication) The frequency command is given by the upper monitor through communication given. Please refer to MODBUS communication protocol in chapter 9.
           The reference frequency is set through RS485. For details, please refer to Modbus protocol in Chapter 9.
================================================================
Don't use this setting unless you have brake resistor installed like mine. use Default 10 should be ok for you.
P0.11 = 3 selected ; Acceleration time is the time of accelerating from 0Hz to maximum frequency (P0.03). (DEFAULT 10)
P0.12 = 1 selected ; Deceleration time is the time of decelerating from maximum frequency (P0.03) to 0Hz (DEFAULT 10)
================================================================
P0.14 = 8 selected ; Carrier frequency (DEFAULT 5.0KHZ)
P1.00 = 0 selected ; SET Start directly: Start the motor at the starting frequency directly
================================================================

This base on spindle specification. Adjust to your spindle/motor specification.
P2.01 = 2.2kw selected ; Motor Rated Power to the (motor’s power rating in kW.)
P2.02 = 400hz selected ; Motor Rated Frequency to the (motor’s max frequency in Hz.)
P2.03 = 24,000 selected ; Motor Rated Speed to the (motor’s speed in RPM at its rated maximum frequence.)
P2.04 = 220v selected ; Motor Rated Voltage to the (motor’s maximum voltage, in Volts.)
P2.05 = 10a selected ; Motor Rated Current to the (motor’s maximum current, in Amps.)
================================================================
Wiring your Motor direction/relay from BOB/pwm board to VFD Units
P5.01 = 1 selected ; S1 terminal function (CCW reverse) (default 1)
P5.02 = 2 selected ; S2 terminal function ( CW Forward) (default 4)
================================================================
Then
P0.16=1 to auto tune for ac spindle 2.2kw its take 4-8mins to completed the tune process. Auto tune the time it take to calibrate Depend on what  you have.
