E-Stop when hitting enable 9First ime user)
« on: December 03, 2021, 04:27:33 PM »
Hi all,
Forgive me if what I say doesn't always make sense. I am definitely brand new to CNC machines and have just finished assembling and setting up my Avid Pro 48x96 and have followed all the instructions and am at the point where I run Mach 4 and hit the enable at the bottom left so I can home the machine but just keep getting E-Stop error message. It says E-Stop is in effect Cear E-Stop which I do but then just does it again when I hit enable. Any help appreciated! Thanks!
Jon

Hi,
what is happening is that one or more of your limit switches or perhaps one of your stepper/servo drivers is signaling a fault, and as soon as you enable the machine Mach
detects the fault and goes straight back into Estop.

You might trying reversing the sense of the Estop, that is try ActiveLow instead of ActiveHigh or vice versa. You need to be able to have the machine enabled for long enough that you can
diagnose which circuit has the continuing fault or alarm condition.

Perhaps look on the diagnostics tab on startup and work your estop and see what the diagnostics page shows when you press or release?
