Intermitent errors running Mach3
« on: October 14, 2021, 11:45:52 AM »
Running an MDA Precision V4 F1210 mill since 2015.  Running on Lenovo ThinkCenter computer with Windows 7 Professional.

Hobby application: model trains

Ran mill after long layoff.  Mill started OK,  but since then intermittently got these following error message and mill stopped.  I can restart and maybe will run.  Sometimes runs for hours.

(1)  CTftp: Wakeup Motherboard does not reply

(2)  Config Required: Smoothstepperboard
Config shows:  IP address 10,9,9,9,9
blank fields for MAC address of PC etherrnet adapter in use
blank field for MAC address of smooth stepper board

(3) ESS_v10r2d1d not responding

Initial Mach3 screen on startup shows version X.X, but main screen shows Licensed  to MDA Precision serial 1411006

Looked at config for ESS_v10r2d1d and found IP set at 255,255,255,255 with MAC inputs blank

.XML profile is Basic Milling Inch
ESS plugin is ESS_v10r2d1d

Running Ethernet

Note mill in garage and we, Portland, OR, had very hot summer with temps 2 days over 112 F.  Smoothstepper board damaged?
