Setting up the tool table requires no scripting.  So why do you think you have to have a script or do scripting if you are using a manual tool change?  Unless I'm misunderstanding you. 

Why don't you post the script that you wanted to "convert" to Mach 4 and let us see what is does.  It may be that Mach 4 doesn't even require a script where Mach 3 did.

I love Mach4, I use it with great satisfaction on the lathe.
I built a new machine and wanted to use the Mill version.
or are there already solutions that I don't know?
I want to do part zero through a master instrument.
each subsequent tool must refer to the master through a previously stored value.
the new tool will update the part zero based on the new length.
