Mach3 has control but steppers run one direction only
« on: September 06, 2021, 04:52:08 PM »
I built a 30x30 inch unit. I'm using Win 7 with parallel cable, HY BOB, and Mach 3. Mach 3 has control and runs the Roadrunner code but steppers only run one direction.
The configuration looks good so I'm stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks........goldfishrider

You are missing the direction signal to the drivers or you have no dir pin/port set in the config

I didn't explain it properly. In mach3, pressing x+ moves forward and x- moves forward also. This is happening with all 3 axis.
My config is per the instructions and all wiring has been triple checked.
Yet using the manual pad everything works correctly.

Have you checked the hotkeys settings on the config menu

Jog and system hotkeys are all set at 999. External buttons and OEM code are all set at -1.

You have not setup your jog keys.
