driver watchdog question
« on: August 17, 2021, 03:31:46 PM »
I have wondered this for years. I always uncheck watchdog under general config and mach3 is happy. It will randomly recheck itself about once a month or so. I thought i would look into screen4 and just remove the checkbox so mach3 couldn't recheck it. But it looks like that is not possible. I cannot find the config page in screen4. Is there anyway to permanently disable this?

The Watchdog setting is stored in the XML file for the profile in use so it could be something is corrupting the file.

Are you shutting Mach3 down or killing the power?

Mach3 always gets shut down properly. Its seems random when it rechecks itself. Or maybe it does so after using certain wizards.

Ok, so no one else has experienced the use watchdogs rechecking itself. It seems to occur when coming out of a wizard.

I have not found anything yet, does anyone know if there is a oem code or button that i could use to make a macro to turn watchdogs off on every startup?
