Radius Mode/Diameter mode on Lathe
« on: August 02, 2021, 05:27:54 PM »
I've been creating jobs in Fusion and exporting them out.

My bar is 16.6mm in diameter (I'm in diameter mode). I've been told I should be touching onto my workpiece then setting my x to 16.6. unfortnately when I'm running my program the tool ends up on the other side of the bar.

My only fix around this is to touch on and set my X to 8.3 (half of the bar size)

This makes workpieces come out sucessfully but I've been told I'm doing this all wrong.

Someone explained I should be setting X as 16.6, setting it off and then the x axis is actually travelling half of what it says on the screen?

Would love some assistance with this.

Long story short, my machine is moving 1mm when it should be moving 0.5mm

try to double step's/per in Motor Tuning page for X-axis.
anything is possible, just try to do it.
if you find some mistakes, in my bad bavarian english, they are yours.
