FTP Server Access
« on: January 28, 2021, 01:51:23 PM »
Hi,
For a number of days the FTP Server no longer opens.
When I place the mouse over it, at the bottom it says the site is "ftp:\\ftp.machsupport.com", and when I click onto it, nothing pops up at the top of the webpage to launch it.
Is this server down?
I know that the server is not a secure server.
Regards,
Mauri.

Try a different browser - google sometimes won't let me on there.

Hi
I use Microsoft Edge and have has no issues before with this new version or the earlier version or any of Microsoft Explorer versions as I have been accessing it every day for many years.
Unless the software now has determined that the site is unsafe?
Regards,
Mauri.

Hi,
If I right click the FTP SERVER - MAIN MENUS tab and select "copy link" and then past it, I get the following ftp://anonymous:guest@ftp.machsupport.com/
Is this the reason why I cannot get in?
Regards,
Mauri.

Hi,
Microsoft Edge says the following see attached file "it regards the web site a not secure" that is why it does not allow access.

Looks like someone has decided to add additional 'Capture' security to the site without fully testing the consequence.  :(
Like Wallerwang has posted - a browser other than Edge may be the answer. I often use Opera and that works just fine opening the ftp site.

Tweakie, I can have the people that work on the server look at this but I guess I don't understand the issue :(
Can you help me understand what I need them to fix?

Hi Brian, all I can suggest is that the ‘reCaptcha’ protection is removed from the website until such time as Google find the problem.

Does the Machsupport.com web site utilize reCaptcha? I run into it in many places but have never had it show up when I access the main Machsupport.com web site, this forum, or the FTP site.
