Mach 3 G-code
« on: January 24, 2021, 08:10:37 PM »
Hello everybody.  I have Mach 3 installed on my laptop running windows 7.  I am using a sainsmart 3018 MX3  When I try to load a G-code into Mach 3, it can not find a G-code file or recognize one.  Does anyone have any suggestions to what I am doing wrong?.

Thanks in advance

Can you perhaps explain that a little more ?
Is it a file extention problem ?

Thanks for the reply,

I have Mach 3 running and zeroed my cnc.  Next I click load G code.  The file that I want to load is on my desk top, but when I look at my desk top files in Mach 3, the file is not there. Also, the G-code on the cd that came with the cnc does not show up either.  If I look to see what is on the disc outside of Mach 3, the files are there also.  They do not show up when I try to open them in Mach 3.  I hope this explanation is clear.

It looks like you are describing a file extention issue. When loading Gcode files select Files of Type  All Files(*.*) then all files will be visable.

Thank you very much.  That was the problem.  As soon as I changed it to all, all the files were there and loaded into mach 3.

Thank you for all your help.
