Hey Dja.
You can't copy and paste, Mach 3 and Mach 2s XML files aren't interchangeable.

When you say X and Y are confused what exactly do you mean? Have you tried tuning the motors as the settings for motor tuning will be different from Mach2 to Mach3. Also please attach your xml file for Mach2 and Mach3 and I will look and see if I can find any  problems.

finaly macking progress...
when i swithced the leads for a & x motors they operate with proper hotkeys. and i had to change active low settings for a & x
i think the problem may be that i would have had to slave the x to y  in referance to how it worked with mach2
the motors dont sound the same as they did (winning and draging now) i will try to test the steps tomorrow

i tried to download a new version ( 2.45 to 2.56 ) but i am having the same problems should i try to find an older version because the mach2 and mach3 settings dont jive
has anyone had this problem between the 2 and 3 versions ?
i think it is a slaving problem and no configuration works only changing motor leads gets the right signal to the right motor but the motor dont sound the same
